  • 5.0 out of 5 stars from Susan Jagannath, Author of Travel and Adventure books: The Valley of Flowers, Chasing Himalayan Dreams; The Camino Ingles -- Equip yourself to lead today : Happiness and Leadership are a combination that you don't expect in a corporate setting - until now. The "uncommon sense" approach shows you how putting your people first creates the happy equation of profitable companies and happy employees. This is the book you need to read and action before you lead, if you are already a leader, and if you are training leaders - the skills and perspective you gain will change your life, the place you work, and the people you lead. • 5.0 out of 5 stars from Holly Vernola -- Quick Wisdom in a Fun and Useful Package! : This People First Guide to Leadership by Dr. Rebecca Morgan is a fun read! It’s also full of extremely useful information. This guide is a quick read that will help both aspiring leaders and existing leaders develop their leadership super powers. Leadership seems like an obvious skill, but Dr. Morgan tells it like it is: Leaders are made, not born. I found the leadership competencies section of great help, succinctly breaking down successful leader qualities and the things I can do to develop or exercise those skills. The most important thing about this book is that is truly seeks to make the world a better place, defining “bosshole” and how to avoid being that dreaded leader that people just want to walk out on. • 5.0 out of 5 stars from Lindsey Horton -- If you only buy one leadership book, make it this one! : . Some of the advice might seem obvious but given so many leaders, or 'bossholes' don't follow it, I think this should be required reading for anyone moving into management, looking to refresh their skills or coaching other leaders. An excellent book that I highly recommend! ( Reviewed in the United Kingdom on October 15, 2021 )
  • 5.0 out of 5 stars from Amazon Customer -- A fabulous read for all leaders : If you’re looking for a refreshing take on leadership and specifically people centered leadership then this is the book! ( Reviewed in the United Kingdom on October 15, 2021 )
  • 5.0 out of 5 stars from KGA1078 -- I liked it : Not a lengthy read, but filled with some great reminders. I think we've all had at least one 'bosshole' in our careers (I would love to give them this book). This book focuses on leadership as being part of something far bigger than yourself, which new managers need to learn....and that many tenured managers need to remember.
